Organization for People’s Health in Action (OPHA) is a nongovernmental, non- religious, non-political, non-profit and non-military organization, working for development of Afghanistan through implementation of health, community development, capacity development, women and youth empowerment projects in Afghanistan.

OPHA has experience of working in Logar,Samnagan ,Parwan,Panjshir,and Paktya provinces in health ,nutrition women empowerment projects.

Currently OPHA is working in Logar ,Nagarhar ,Laghman and Kunar provinces.

OPHA is established in Oct 2017 and is registered with the Ministry of Economy as antional NGO.

OPHA strongly adhere to PSEA and antifraud policy and will have a follow up /track of nominated staff with previous employer in this regard.

I-GENERAL Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the health program Manager includes but not limited to health program management, is responsible for coordinating health program activities with all stockholders and reporting to the line Manager. The health program manager will be main responsible of the all health program related management.

II-SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• • Design, plan and coordinate all projects in the course of humanitarian aid and development cooperation in line with beneficiary needs, national policies as well as Organization for people`s health in action OPHA, donor program objectives and international standards.

• Supervise and ensure the effective and efficient implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all project activities.
• Review country context and situation, identify and analyze gaps, carry out needs assessments, and give inputs to team members in development of new project concepts.
• Represent the organization towards government authorities, local authorities, Clusters/task forces and other organizations concerning the development and implementation of the program.
• Conduct need assessments and support the Senior organization management team in the development of new project proposals.
• Support field teams in ensuring project activities are implemented as planned and desired goals are achieved.
• Provide technical guidance and training to field team related to public health.

• Preparing and providing on time the project technical narrative reports based on the donors, OPHA and other related stakeholders’ requirements.
• Frequent travel to project sites for monitoring of project activities, ensure quality standards (including medical) are respected and identify points of improvement for follow-up in a participatory manner with the team.

• Monitor appropriate field documentation of projects for transparency and possible donor audits.
• Monitor and support positive team communications & dynamics in the field.
• Monitor field staff in the project sites and ensure appropriate steps are taken to improve working conditions where necessary.
• Other tasks as requested by the OPHA`s Program director and senior management team.

QUALIFICATION AND REQIREMENTS:

1. Medical Degree attested by MoHE.
2. A degree in public health (MPH).
3. At least 10 years’ experience of Heath program management in governmental/Non- governmental health organization.
4. Have the knowledge and experience about the BPHS and EPHS services.
5. Good knowledge of data analysis, interpretation and data use.
6. Experience and strong skills in project Management.
7. Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
8. Good knowledge of National and English Language (written and spoken).
